Gender Inequality in the workplace is still a major issue in most the developed countries, as the path to leadership is too slow for women. In fact, women are so under-represented in senior management positions that, at the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) in London, 100 CEO is more likely to be called “John” than be a woman. As for the USA, women earn 77.9 £ for every dollar earned by men. In Greece however, in my home country, οnly 9% of the boards of the largest listed companies are women.

It is time serious action be taken to overcome this issue that affects society. The campaign #WomensWorkforce is an initiative, that will lead to a collaboration between the biggest employer companies in Greece and the government. Therefore, a national conference was organized, to initiate the collaboration of the parties and set the boundaries of common policies in companies in Greece.
